Covid 19

The NZ Chamber recently held a Covid 19 survey to hear what the important issues are for our community.  The response rate was higher than any previous survey highlighting the significance of the outbreak.  A range of industries was covered with most respondents working for businesses employing less than 50 people.

While most said their business was somewhat disrupted, people are unable to determine or are only anticipating small revenue losses.  The majority of companies had a business continuity plan in place and are taking steps to ensure employees remain healthy.  Only 4% of business are not restricting travel in some way and many are restricting meetings while some are preventing employees from attending events.  Most people (77%) believe the perception of Covid 19 in Singapore is worse outside Singapore than inside.  Most respondents (88%) expect business to recover within 12 months.

In terms of Chamber events, respondents are still likely to attend a social event (61%), a small business event (73%) or a web based event (59%).
