Member of the month April - Kevin Youngman

This month we had the pleasure of talking to Kevin Youngman, Kiwi Kitchen, Owner.

Briefly what is your role? Basically, everything involved with getting food products from New Zealand to Singapore, then selling those products online, wholesaling and distributing them around Singapore.

Any advice for doing business in Singapore and/or the region? Singapore is not a 9-5pm environment, prepare for long work hours and the standard reply to how’s things? – busy!

When did you move to Singapore? Where from? Moved to Singapore in 2015 from New Zealand

Where were you born? What country do you call home? Born in Cheviot, NZ is and always will be home.

What do you like most about Singapore? The convenience of the transport infrastructure, safety for raising a family and being able to go out at night and not worrying about a southerly change to ruin the night!

What do you do to relax? Crusader’s fan! Bike riding, reading, time with family and friends.

What's top of your bucket list? To get on a plane, any plane! When things settle down would love to explore Northern India with my family.

Why did you join the New Zealand Chamber (Singapore) and what do you like most about it? Joined NZCC to support the local New Zealand scene and to widen my network in both the social and professional sense.

Any last words? Jump online at kiwikitchen.sg for all your Kiwi products that you’ve been missing. Want something we don’t have? then please let us know as we can probably get it for you! Use the code NZCC21 during checkout.
